The passenger footpeg bracket supports the passenger footpeg on each side, mounting to the vertical frame stanchion.

Mounting
  • 2 M8×25mm bolts with a flanged 13mm hex head.
  • The distance between the bolts is 65mm center-to-center.

Removal

This removes the passenger footpeg bracket from SDS Platform models.

Tools
  • 3mmm Allen key wrench
  • 13mm hex socket
  • Long (12" or 300mm) telescoping extension to reach the 13mm socket across the frame.
Socket extension for passenger peg bracket bolts
  • 13mm hex side/box wrench
Steps
  1. Remove the side plastics using the 3mm allen key wrench.
  2. Remove the left footpeg bracket.
    1. Arrange a long socket extension to reach the left footpeg bracket's upper bolt from the right side of the bike.
    2. Break the upper bolt free; this will require some effort.
    3. Gently rotate the left footpeg bracket downwards to help break the lower bolt free.
    4. Use the side/box wrench to reach the lower bolt from the front of the vertical frame stanchion.
    5. Loosen the lower bolt with the wrench until free, then remove the bracket from the bike.
  3. Remove the right footpeg bracket.
    1. Arrange a long socket extension to reach the right footpeg bracket's upper bolt from the left side of the bike.
    2. Break the upper bolt free; this will require some effort.
    3. Gently rotate the right footpeg bracket upwards to help break the lower bolt free.
    4. Use the side/box wrench to reach the lower bolt from the front of the vertical frame stanchion.
    5. Loosen the lower bolt with the wrench until free, then remove the bracket from the bike.
