Regenerative Braking refers to the function of an electric vehicle to slow down by recovering energy through the motor and controller into the battery.
- This is a feature and operating mode of an electric vehicle power train where the power transfer is reversed.
- This slows the vehicle down by capturing energy through the motor into the main battery.
- The battery must accept incoming power for this feature to work, and the controller must manage the process.
