A total loss of power includes the 12V system and the powertrain.
- Related Confirming Symptoms
- Headlamp, turn signals, and running/brake lights are all off.
- Dash/instrument cluster is off and the bike cannot operate.
- Potential Causes
- MBB failure
- A major MBB hardware failure can produce a total loss of power with these characteristics:
- No power at all with the ignition on: no contractor click, no power on the dash board, no error codes, no 12 volts activity (no front or brake lights, no dashboard backlight).
- Unable to charge.
- Unable to connect to the bike using bluetooth in the app.
- This might happen as a consequence of a short circuit that over-discharges the MBB.
- A major MBB hardware failure can produce a total loss of power with these characteristics:
- Blown high voltage fuses.
- Troubleshooting
- Confirm normal behavior on the BMS (forth led flashing every two seconds, green).
- You may have to reset the BMS in order to confirm this led normal behavior.
- Check that the low and high voltage fuses are intact (resistance?).
