The dash will show a message at the bottom of the screen labeled "WARNING" listing the error code and a basic message.

The dash display can retrieve the list of current errors with messages using the menu selector, and it can then clear the errors.
Check the official manual for what they mean; some are normal safety interlocks and others are about various systems.
The following are paraphrased interpretations of those codes with (progressively) some basic troubleshooting leads to follow.


Error Codes

0 N/A No error; should never be visible
1 High Throttle Throttle fault Likely throttle connection or potentiometer issue
2 Torque Fault No valid torque input provided from the Bosch MSC. The Bosch MSC (stability control) system isn't sending a valid input.
3 Torque Fault Torque fault Torque fault not due to the Bosch MSC?
4 Throttle Fault Throttle Fault The Bitron Throttle isn't sending a valid input.
5 CAN Fault Powertrain CAN Communication Fault CANbus messaging between the MBB, motor controller, and maybe other components is faulty.
6 Mode Fault Reinstall Ride Modes through Smartphone App. Something about how the ride modes are mapped into the MBB and [[FST Platform/Motor Controller|motor controller] is inconsistent or invalid.
7 Mode Fault Reinstall Ride Modes through Smartphone App. Something about how the ride modes are mapped into the MBB and [[FST Platform/Motor Controller|motor controller] is inconsistent or invalid.
8 Controller Fault Motor Controller Warning. Something about [[FST Platform/Motor Controller|motor controller] operation is worth investigating but not necessarily urgent.
9 Controller Fault Motor Controller Fault. Something about [[FST Platform/Motor Controller|motor controller] operation is seriously wrong.
10 Mode Fault Reinstall Ride Modes through Smartphone App. Something about how the ride modes are mapped into the MBB and [[FST Platform/Motor Controller|motor controller] is inconsistent or invalid (but not urgent).
11 N/A No error; should never be visible
12 Traction Control Fault Traction Control Fault Something about the traction control system is wrong.
13 Traction Control Fault Traction Control Fault, Communication error. Something about the traction control system messaging (CANbus?) is wrong.
14 N/A No error; should never be visible
15 Stability Control Fault Stability Control Fault Something about the Bosch MSC system is wrong.
16 Headlight Short Fault Headlight Connection Short. Implies the MBB has a headlamp operation sensor.
17 Headlight Bulb Out Fault Headlight Connection Open. Implies the MBB has a headlamp operation sensor.
18 Blinker Short Fault Blinker Connection Short. Implies the MBB has a blinker operation sensor.
19 Blinker Bulb Out Fault Blinker Connection Open. Implies the MBB has a blinker operation sensor.
20 Brake Short Fault Brake Connection Short. Implies the MBB has a brake light operation sensor.
21 Brake Bulb Out Fault Brake Connection Open. Implies the MBB has a brake light operation sensor.
22 12V Battery Heater Short Fault 12V Battery Heater Connection Short.
23 12V Battery Heater Disconnect Fault 12V Battery Heater Connection Open.
24 12V Battery Reversed 12V battery installed in reverse.
25 12V Battery Low 12V battery low.
26 DC-DC Low DC-DC converter voltage low.
27 12V Low Voltage Fault 12V system fault.
28 12V Low Voltage Fault 12V system fault.
29 HVIL Open Fault Loose connection detected in power pack harness.
30 Self test Fail Disconnect charger. Key Off for 2 minutes and then try again.
31 Battery Module Ineligible Disconnect charger. Key Off for 2 minutes and then try again.
32 Contactor Open Disconnect charger. Key Off for 2 minutes and then try again.
33 Battery Module Awaiting Connection Disconnect charger. Key Off for 2 minutes and then try again.
34 Battery Module Connection Retries Fault Disconnect charger. Key Off for 2 minutes and then try again.
35 Pilot Signal Invalid Fault Charging station error. Disconnect Charging Pistol, wait for 2 minutes then retry.
36 Region Invalid Fault Charger region uninitialized.
37 Charger Not Connected CAN Communication Fault.
38 Charger Fault Disconnect Charging Pistol, wait for 2 minutes then retry.
39 Immobilizer Disconnected CAN Communication Fault.
40 Immobilizer Error Try Reprogramming Keys.
42 Heated Grip Fault Heated Grip Fault.
43 Isolation Fault Refer to dealer.
49 Battery Module Incompatible Battery installed is not compatible with this motorcycle.
50 Battery Module Features Not Supported Module installed is either newer or older than this motorcycle. Some features may not be available.
51 Battery Pack Voltage Too High Charging paused.
52 Battery pack Voltage Too Low Refer to dealer.
54 Battery Cell Anomaly Please charge motorcycle.
58 - 99 Motorcycle Fault Refer to dealer.
The motorcycle's diagnostic system detected an error code that has caused the motorcycle to enter into a state of permanent torque reduction. The Check Engine Light (CEL) on the dash will also illuminate when any of these errors is detected.
