Traction Control
From Unofficial Zero Manual
Zero motorcycles did not offer a traction control system on its models until Gen3 in 2019 with the release of the SRF Model for 2020.
- Speculation
- Presumably, there are R&D investments to make and then ensure pass regulatory testing that have prohibited the release of such a feature.
- The Sevcon motor controller used in Gen2 SDS and XMX platform models describes a traction control feature set, but warns that it is unsuitable for highway speeds.
- Sevcon typically targets the forklift and light industrial truck market, which move at "warehouse speeds".
